Amazonian Elephant - Ear Alocasia Polly

Native to the Brazilian rainforest, rattlesnake plant thrives in moist, warm, semi-shady climates. It can grow up to 3ft. and if conditions are just right, the plant produces bright yellow-orange blooms in late spring and early summer. 

Tricolor Plant - Stromanthe Sanguinea

Because the Tricolor Plant lacks the traditional amount of chlorophyll a house plant contains, it’s actually a much more difficult plant to care for. They need a lot of bright, indirect sunlight to make sure the plant gets enough food for proper sustenence. Rubber Plant - Ficus Elastica

You can tell that a rubber tree plant is getting too much water by looking at it carefully. Brown, drooping leaves indicate the plant is being over-watered. The leaves may also become mushy. The soil may become saturated when the plant cannot absorb anymore water. The soil may also have a damp, musty smell if root rot has invaded the plant. When you recognize these symptoms, the rubber tree plant is in need of rescue.

Pothos - Epipremnum Aureum

The rooting system for a pothos is relatively small compared to other plants. Because of this, they are susceptial to root rot much easier than other house plants. They wil let you know when it’s time to water as the leaves will slightly wilt. Once they do, give them a drink and they’ll go back to being happy. If the leaves are yellow, you may be watering it too much. Excessive watering may cause root rot.

Snake Plant - Sansevieria Trifasciata

These amazing plants are one of the famous dozen houseplants named by NASA that purify the air in your household (and maybe space stations in the future). Not only have they been shown to remove harmful chemicals like benzene and formaldehyde under certain conditions, they are also said to boost levels of oxygen in your space overnight. So get one, or 10 of these bad boys for your space. It’s healthy. :)

Fiddle Leaf Fig - Ficus Lyrata

Overwatering can cause serious damage. Make sure the top 3cm/1.5 inches of the plant’s compost is allowed to dry out between each watering. You should always try to use room temperature water to hydrate your plants, but especially with the fiddle-leaf fig.
